The Baratza Encore coffee grinder is the perfect entry-level coffee grinder for anyone brewing coffee at home. Capable of grinding coffee for coarse, drip brew and fine espresso, the Encore features 40 individual grind settings and 40mm conical burrs that will remain sharp for years.

The powerful high-torque DC motor turns slowly and effortlessly resulting in a quiet operation that remains cool even during extended grind times. Burrs can be user calibrated and easily removed for exceptional cleaning capabilities. With unique speed control, the Encore's burrs operate at a steady 450 RPM, which ensures the beans feed smoothly into the burrs and reduces noise, heat and static generation in the grinder.

Escali London Sip Manual Coffee Grinder

"Nice little hand grinder. The ceramic burrs work well for a consistent grind. The adjustment at the bottom takes a little testing and getting use to, but that's the only downside. For the price, though, this is a solid purchase. I'd buy another."

Works like a charm!

"Bought the London Sip manual grinder to replace an electric grinder because the electric was a bit messy. So far, so good. It grinds easily with no mess and gives an even grind something the electric didn't do. Also love that you can easily change the grind from fine to coarse. Pleasantly pleased!"

Bought this grinder as replacement

"Bought this grinder as replacement for hand grinder that broke. Really like this grinder so far for grinding my morning coffee. Pros: coffee is ground quickly. Grounds are uniform. Easy to adjust for different grinds. Fairly quiet for an electric grinder. Cons: Took a few tries to get the rubber gasket to stay/ seat properly when assembling. Coffee fines stick to plastic hopper and it can get messy. When removing hopper after grinding you have to clean out base because coffee grounds fall on base where hopper sits no matter how much I tap the machine before removing hopper. Overall a good grinder."

Wow

"Wife got me this for Christmas. It makes an unbelievable difference in flavor for pour overs using a V2. Completely eliminates bitterness even in dark roasts and stronger brew ratios."

So glad I bought this grinder

"I had been using a hand grinder. It fell apart. Time for a new grinder. I exhaustively researched grinders. None of the hand grinders seemed easy enough to use, or sufficiently efficient. Columnar things with the direction of rotation perpendicular. Ridiculous. So to the power grinders. I have a tight budget. But many of the inexpensive grinders seemed to be deficient. Blade grinders- loud and you have to repeatedly shake it as you use it, to approximate a decent grind. No thanks. Then on to this one. I was hoping to spend less but.... To get by, I bought ground coffee from a local store (a VERY well-known vendor). Nearly $15 per pound. FRC had a special offer: blends @ $10 for 2 pounds. Yes! But I needed a grinder. So I bought this one. So far I love it. It is simple. Put the beans in the hopper, turn it on, and within 1 minute you have a quantity of ground coffee. No digital this-and-that etc; load the beans, set the grind size, turn it on, a minute later done. Nicely ground. I haven't put a micrometer to individual grains (which I think is absurd anyway), but a nice even grind. I thought from what I'd read it would be hideously loud; not so. Quieter than a blender. And such a short grind time. IMO, not loud at all (though I don't do it in a dead-quiet house early in the morning). Now I can buy beans and have fresh-ground coffee almost instantly. And save money. There is a little clean-up to do with the grounds in the receiving vessel, and around the base. But nothing that I wouldn't reasonably expect. Between what I'll save by avoiding high-priced coffee, and the more intangible benefit of grinding those beautiful beans on-the-spot, the cost is well worth it. I should say that I grind only for the plunge-pot and for drip, so nothing to say about espresso grind. Neither can I speak to durability- I haven't had it very long. So far I love it. And the fact that it is, by statement of the manufacturer, maintainable...I plan to be using this for a long, long time."

Excellent Performance and Design!!

"After our faithful blade grinder died, we decided to invest in a burr grinder for a more consistent grind. Our first burr grinder purchase was made elsewhere (another "B" brand) and it was AWFUL. It died within the first week of use! Since I hadn't thought to check our favorite coffee company first - Fresh Roasted Coffee - I was delighted to see that they also offer the reasonably-priced (and higher rated) Baratza Encore. Ordered from FRC and couldn't be happier with it's quality and function! What a great little workhorse! FORTY grind setting choices means you can tailor to your specific grind preference and it's wonderfully low-static. DEFINITELY worth the price and making the purchase with FRC means customer service is always excellent, if needed!"

A workhorse

"We have had this grinder for 5 years and it has never let us down. We do put Rice through it about 3 scoops set it on fine and clean it twice a year, and that cleans it right up. It is a slow speed rotation as designed to not heat up the beans while grinding."

Great home Coffee Grinder

"My Encore Coffee Grinder has performed just as it has been advertised for the month I have had it. My coffee is ground perfectly and tastes great! "Freshroasted Coffee Co." did a good job with my order and the coffee order. I recommend the Encore and their coffee."

Q&A

What is the capacity of the grinder? What is his power consumption?
We had to reach out to Baratza to confirm the details on this. According to the representative we spoke with, the hopper capacity is 300g (10.6oz) and power is 100-120VAC 50/60HZ, 70W 0.8A.
