I have this grinder so

"I have this grinder so I got one for my Father. We both love our grinders for the way it quickly and professionally produces a perfect Drip grind. Definitely recommend this Bodum product at a fantastic price!"

Small amount of coffee.

"Good quality but, get small amount of coffee."

Grinder

"This grinder works well. It requires some attention though if you like to grind your coffee for the week. For that, I need to grind 4 or 5 batches at a time then wait 4-5 minutes for the motor to cool down in between the required 15-20 seconds grinding time of another batch of coffee roasted beans. For 1-2 batches it does not require to wait for the motor to cool off. Either case I recommend cleaning after each use using a dry brush all coffee residues sticking or caking to the grinder itself."

Good for Beginners!

"Novice coffee maker here. Purchased this grinder to start using along with a French press and have been pleased with how easy it is to use. The included instruction booklet wasn't the most helpful, but my mom has the same machine and was easily able to guide me through. Now I use it daily without a second thought. Great purchase!"

Just what I needed

"Very easy to use though it takes a little time to learn how to adjust the grind and timer to get the best experience with your coffee. Cleaning is easy though you will have to purchase your own espresso brush. The directions are clearly printed and easy to understand, but whoever wrote some sections must love strong coffee from the grind times they suggested. The easiest way to get started is to go ahead and put your normal amount of coffee beans in for a pot of coffee. Work with the timer first until you see that it almost all the beans are grinded, then adjust the grind size. For my Cuisinart 14 cup automatic drip coffee maker, I suggest a grind size a little larger than you want for automatic drip. It really brings out all the flavors without the bitterness you get from smaller grinds."

Q&A

Does this Bodu, coffee grinder actually come apart for cleaning?
Great question - and one we had to confirm on our side. From Bodum's "blowup" diagram, it looks like the grinder comes apart but it does not - other than the top/cup coming off, at least. However, the inside of the grinder is smooth aluminum and can be wiped clean with a dry cloth. You can use a small brush to sweep out the nooks and crannies, but do not immerse in water!
