"The best green decaf beans I have found. They roast with plenty of flavor and aroma, whether you like medium or dark. I haven't tried a light roast yet, but might have to just for fun! Photos are roasting, cooling, and the finished product, still awaiting off-gassing and a few more days rest for the flavor to fully mature."
"I roast to first crack + about 30-60 seconds. Make espresso in a semiautomatic. This Colombian decaf is tasty and well rounded. I like a very robust coffee profile for a hibrid brew that’s half way between macchiato and cappuccino. It’s two shots with just less cream than a cap. These beans are great, consistent, and reasonable. I couldn’t take a star off because I like a crazy strong coffee profile that busts through the cream. That’s just the immigrant Italian in me! I’ve been a customer forever and love the people there if you should ever need them."
"There is no way to tell the difference between this decaf and regular Colombian coffee. . . it is just the best decaf I have ever had! Really like the sugarcane process. It leaves more flavor than the Swiss water process. Very easy to roast. I like to take it to a full city roast for a great cup of coffee."
"I roasted this accidentally to an 18% loss. Although it was darker than intended, it still had a good nutty flavor as an espresso. As a pour-over I was able to get a hint of that brown sugar but was overwhelmed by a smoky flavor. It’s a good bean and I’ll try it a little lighter in roast next time."
