Organic Ethiopian Sidamo - Classic Coffee Pods

This organic Ethiopian Sidamo is a brilliant example of the exceptional and diverse spectrum of coffees grown in Africa. With a delicate, earthy flavor and sweet, citrusy acidity, this is a truly remarkable Ethiopian coffee. The subtle light roast given to this organic coffee preserves the sweet notes and creamy finish that is meant to be savored.

The Sidamo (or Sidama) region, nestled in Southern Ethiopias Oromia coffee-growing area, is a prime spot for producing incredibly fruity and high-quality coffee beans. Thanks to its unique climate and acidic soil, nearly all the coffee trees here yield beans with these remarkable characteristics.

The Shoye Cooperative sources green coffee beans from family-owned and operated farms throughout surrounding southern Ethiopia. These indigenous heirloom cultivars have gone untouched, allowing you to taste coffee from its most ancient beginnings.

Ingredients: Organic 100% Arabica coffee. Organic certified by PA Certified Organic. OU Kosher certified. Produced in an SQF-certified, renewable energy-powered facility.

Good coffee and price point

"Your Ethiopian is good, but. . . I find it lacks some of the more fruity and floral notes that I have found in other brands. Your sidamo and yirgacheff seems like it should have more notes. It is pretty good asid, and the price is super competitive, so that's why I buy it because we drink a lot of coffee. Would love it more if it had more prominent notes"

Exquisite Ethiopian light roast

"Delicious coffee smooth and even. The care and quality is evident in the whole process from ordering to preparing and savoring a cup maintaining a nice connection with the soils, farmers, roasters, and all of involved along the way."

Alan R. (5/5)

Quality Coffee decent price

"Hard to get this quality of coffee, from roasted to cup in such a short time frame, that isn't much more expensive. This particular bean is good, but I find it lacks a bit of the typical blueberry notes from an Ethiopian natural. Still, this is a solid roast (City), with moderate character and good drinkability. I'd buy it again at the price point."

Top pick

"My favorite. Can’t beat this light roast. So flavorful and punchy, but smooth at the same time."

Izzy C. (5/5)

GREAT COFFEE

"I love Ethiopian coffees and the Sidamo is up there with them all, I will be be getting this again from FRC of course."

Kenny C. (5/5)

Solid Fruity Daily Driver

"This is a good coffee with bright and fruity flavor. It's not the most complex nor unique coffee I've tasted, but it's a great value at the price point."

David B. (4/5)

Decent

"I've tried many of the light roasts offered by FRC and they are usually excellent, but this one is a bit lacking. It makes a decent cup of coffee (very smooth and easy to drink) but for the life of me I cannot get any of the fruity notes you would expect from a natural processed coffee or even much brightness, even when using a higher ratio of coffee to water. Remains a good choice if you just want a mild, easy-drinking cup, however."

CW (3/5)

underwhelming

"while this coffee produces a beautiful and visually appealing shot of espresso, the flavor leaves much to be desired. i do not get much in the way of berry flavors, and for a light roast it is definitely on the darker end of that spectrum. it isnt an awful coffee at all, just not what i hoped it could be"

Chris W. (2/5)

Our go to coffee

"We have ordered this coffee as a staple for some time. It is a light roast with full delicious flavor with no bitterness and not overpowering. When entertaining, friends also enjoy it"

Robert B. (5/5)

Flavorful light roast

"Not usually much onblight roast but this was great. Smooth and light but still flavorful."
