Anguissola Italian Craft Espresso - Roasted Coffee

While the Renaissance largely locked women out of the studio, Sofonisba Anguissola broke the frame. As the first female artist to achieve global renown—and a favored court painter to King Philip II of Spain—she didn’t just follow the rules; she rewrote them.

Inspired by her mentorship under Michelangelo and her enduring legacy, this artistic espresso blend is designed for those who appreciate bold complexity. Like a timeless portrait, this coffee reveals new layers with every sip.

A medium-dark roast with a commanding, bold body, the Anguissola blend is crafted to stand the test of time. It is sophisticated enough to be enjoyed as a standalone shot, yet its spicy-sweet character makes it the perfect muse for a decadent café mocha or a silky latte.

  • Notes of Anise, Candied Walnut, Grilled Peach
  • Medium-Dark with a Bold body
  • Intensità 8

Italy is the home of espresso and the muse for our collection of authentic Italian Craft Coffee blends! From Venice to Palermo and all points in between, these flavors will take you back to the old country.

Great stuff!

"Bold and savory! Makes an amazing espresso! Some notes - Tastes better with my flat burr grinder than the conical. Tastes better in a somewhat finer grind, but creates a pretty water tight puck - so to balance flavor while not getting your espresso clogged up, use a little less coffee to make a thinner puck than your usual."

Rich and bold yet easy on the stomach

"I tended to avoid most bold brews due to their effect on my stomach . . . but this one has changed my mind. Rich dark notes (that grilled peach is amazing!) that satisfy and don't bite; great in the morning or after dinner; and no tummy trouble! I will buy this again."

Awesome!!!!

"The blend of this coffee is like no other. The notes of grilled peaches is so good. I don't like the taste of anise but that note doesn't come across for me. I will be buying this coffee again. Thank you so much"

Just bold enough!

"This is my new favorite dark and bold coffee. it is wonderfully rich and bold, but with no bite."

Dark But Not Too Dark

"A dark roast espresso that does not have any bitter or burnt flavor without compromising a strong espresso flavor."

I expected more

"The coffee is just OK, too roasted for my taste, almost like charbucks coffee ;) and the grind is not fine enough for my espresso machine (a Breville) so the espresso comes very watery. I have to mix it with milk. I could try to grind it more but haven't yet gotten to that point. Overall, I am very happy with FRC and will keep trying other blends."
