Correggio Italian Craft Espresso - Roasted Coffee

Antonio Allegri - better known as Correggio - was the Renaissance master of chiaroscuro—the dramatic play between deep shadow and radiant light. His paintings were celebrated for their softness and emotional depth, and we’ve channeled that same artistry into this signature espresso.

Designed for the connoisseur who seeks a "plush" experience, this blend is a masterpiece of texture. It offers a heavy, velvety mouthfeel that balances the brightness of fruit with the grounded depth of dark sugars.

Just as Correggio’s light seemed to glow from within his canvas, the vibrant notes of blackberry preserves shine through a rich, molasses base. The finish is a sophisticated interplay of spice and silk. Delizioso!

  • Notes of Blackberry Preserves, Chocolate-covered Pretzel, Molasses
  • Medium-Dark with a Bold body
  • Intensità 10

Reviews

Great strong espresso

"Great for espresso. Gives a strong but smooth shot that’s not too bitter or acidic. I usually will use it to make an iced americano or an iced latte and these beans make a nice strong shot that carry’s the flavor through the whole drink. I’ve tried quite a few different variety’s from FRC and this is my favorite so far for espresso. Fast shipping with beans roasted the day of or right before shipping."

The Italian Experience

"I felt like I was taken to a second story galleria overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the town of Sapri, Italy, in the early, crisp morning as the birds being to sing their songs and the sun flashes its yellow dress and begins to dance across the infinite carpet of rolling blue. While I muse with a cup of Correggio espresso nestled in my hand, I remembered why this company is grand."

Aubrey D. (5/5)

It delivered!

"It was smooth, but not weak. The level of intensity on the bag matched what I tasted and felt. The aroma, the crema, the richness in flavor was all there. I love straight espresso and I also love milked drinks as well and it served both well. My favorite was pulling a shot and squeezing an orange peel over it to zestfully compliment the shot and it was pure Italian heaven."

Strong but smooth and not

"Strong but smooth and not overpowering. Dark to very dark brown oily beans making coffee without a burnt taste. Good crema. Good for straight shots or in cappuccino."

Q&A

Can this also be used as a dark coffee with milk as well as expresso?
Of course! If you're looking for a dark, rich coffee blend similar to what you'd find sold in Italy, Correggio is an excellent choice!
Is this coffee roasted when ordered? My order showed exp. date but not a roast date.
Hello! Roast dates are included on every bag on a small white label. The label will have the Julian date of the roast ( numerical day of the year) and a dash with the year code. Hope this helps! Team FRC
Does this blend contain robusta? If so, how much? Thanks!
Like most Italian espresso blends, Correggio does use Robusta as well as Arabica coffee beans. Robusta blends add another layer of richness and a thick crema to espresso. As far as how much, all Fresh Roasted Coffee blends are proprietary. The Robusta content in Correggio, however, is less than 20%.
