Good things for coffee roasting

"I like to throw in a chunk of frozen fresh coconut and experiment with different boozes, my favorites, my barrel, aged rum when I roast it makes my house smell like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies some whiskeys bring out the floral notes, some wines bring out the chocolate notes. My homemade vanilla always gives it an excellent taste, and smell too when roastingIt’s fun. to experiment and see what you get."

Perfect for home roasters!

"I love this company, and all the unroasted beans are fun to explore. The prices are great, I love the rewards program, and they all taste great (unless the error is me in the roasting process lol but I have vastly improved so now they all taste great in different ways!)."

Elephantine Bliss

"The Unroasted African Sampler coffee? It’s like a herd of flavor-packed elephants thundering through your morning! Each bean is a gentle giant—Ethiopian Yirgacheffe trumpeting bright, berry-like notes that dance like a playful calf; Kenyan AA, the mighty matriarch, stomping in with bold, earthy swagger; and Tanzanian Peaberry, the quirky little tusker, sneaking in nutty, mischievous vibes. Roasting these beans at home was like taming a wild herd, each one fresh and ready to charge your cup with personality. Every sip feels like an African sunrise, with these elephantine flavors wrapping you in a warm, caffeinated hug. This sampler’s so lively, it’s like your coffee pot’s leading a joyful stampede!"

Tasting and Roasting Experience!

"Bear in mind for anyone reading this review that these are green, unroasted coffee beans so you'll need to roast them first. My first photo shows the difference between unroasted and roasted coffee beans. That being said, what a delight! I love the variety in this package of coffees. I'm a fairly new home roaster, and I love how different coffees taste based on their countries of origin. My roasts have been coming out great and it's fun to roast different kinds to experience different flavor profiles. I've enjoyed this variety sampler a lot and will definitely order again!"

Best African Sampler!

"Love roasting and drink all these options! I always get a fresh lot and if you look hard enough you can find coupon codes to help with the cost! Shipping is fast and I like to roast all these varieties about a minute after first crack. Complex taste in all 4!"

Caleb C. (5/5)

Q&A

Do you need special equipment to roast the beans? Can this be done in a conventual oven? Thought our son might find this interesting. Please advise.
Home roasters are pretty crafty people. We've seen and heard of everything from cast iron skillets and grills to popcorn poppers to heat guns and electric drills! We've heard of oven roasting, too, but it gets more complicated because the beans have to keep moving which means constantly taking your pan out and shaking it -- and then there's the issue with the chaff that comes off the beans which is NOT something you want in your oven. If you think you or your son might be interested in getting into home roasting, we'd start with checking out some home roasting professionals on YouTube!
