"I love Indian black teas and this sampling kit provides you with the smoky flavor of Nilgiri, along with the sweet Assam and crisp Darjeeling."
"I tried this Indian tea sampler pack. I have given it 3 star for value. In fact all teas are great value. Organic is a big plus as there has been a lot of controversy regarding pesticide use in India tea farms and India's ok of pesticides banned in other countries. However, on the taste, I was not too happy. My least favorite is the Nilgiri. I had not tried a southern Indian tea before and did not enjoy the brackish taste. With the Assam and Darjeeling, I was underwhelmed. The strength and complexity of the taste/smell was simply not there as I am used to. I am not sure if this is because this is old stock. But in any case, I am going to use this tea for Kombucha making as I did not enjoy it enough for drinking straight. Positively's ordering/deivery experience was good. Perhaps I will give some other teas a try in due time. It would help a lot if Positively can state what year/flush the harvest is from."
"Before you order tea from this company it is worth ordering a sampler to get an idea of which tea you like the best. It is more expensive than just buying a pound of loose tea, but you have to pay some extra for educating yourself. It is hard to decide by reading reviews. Anyway, here is my take: All teas are actually good. English Breakfast - just a bland black tea, good, but not specific; Assam - your typical assam - strong robust fresh taste; Irish Breakfast - I liked it the most, it is strong and robust, but there are notes of softness and fullness."
"This was my first purchase and I chose the sampler pack to narrow down the field and find out which teas I prefer. I like to know where the tea is grown, and choose Indian over Chinese teas for various reasons related to health and the different conditions in which they are grown. Of the 3 teas in this pack I liked the Nilgiri best, Assam a close second and the Darjeeling a definite third. It's not a bad tea at all, but as the description says, it's a light clear brew. And I like a stout flavourful cuppa, strongly brewed and served with milk, so the Darjeeling didn't do it for me. Took a lot of tea to get colour and flavour, so I ended up mixing it with the Assam and Nilgiri, which I will definitely order again. I'd say the Nilgiri was the strongest of the lot and most to my liking."
