Organic Burdock Root - Loose Leaf Botanical

Burdock Root, known scientifically as Arctium, is a powerhouse herb native to Asia and Northern Europe. It has been cultivated in the United States for the last 50 years. The Burdock plant's deep roots grow very long and are dark brown in color.

Burdock Root has been used for centuries in holistic medicine for a wide variety of ailments. Due to the high antioxidant content, the roots have been traditionally used as a diuretic and digestive aid, to name a few.

With multiple different antioxidants present, such as quercetin, luteolin and phenolic acids, Burdock Root can be helpful in protecting the body from free radical damage and may also reduce inflammation.
