Known to many garden lovers as the Purple Coneflower, Echinacea Purpurea is believed to have a wide variety of healthful properties and has a long history in North American and European alternative medicinal traditions. Both the root and remainder of the herb can be utilized for their beneficial components.
Echinacea is loaded with polyphenols, specifically Cichoric acid โ a powerful antiviral and antioxidant compound. The high quantity of polysaccharides (immune boosters) found at the top half of this awesome plant make it the most effective portion to consume for health purposes. The brewed liquor tastes floral, herbal and mildly tingly like peppermint.

"The teas that I have tried from Fresh Roasted are superior than any in the grocery stores. They are truly fresh and therefore don’t need to steep more than what they recommend. The taste also is better, being it is fresher. This is the place I have started purchasing my teas."

Flavorful and healthy
"I like tea and drink a lot of various green teas. But in the evening I prefer an herbal infusion to avoid the caffeine. I have come to really appreciate this loose-leaf Echinacea for its wonderful, robust floral aromas. I steep it at 200 Deg. F. for 5-8 minutes by itself to get the max flavor from this fresh herbal. It also works well blended with a simple gunpowder green tea and with a dollop or two of honey for a more complex flavor profile. If you search online you can find lots of info about the various health benefits of Echinacea. If you have a medical condition or if you are pregnant you should probably talk to a medical professional before using Echinacea. Otherwise, if you like floral flavors in your herbal infusions, I highly recommend this Echinacea."
