The dazzling beauty of the Passionflower vine has captivated herbalists, missionaries and countless others for centuries. The Passionflower, or Passiflora incarnata, was said to be named by Spanish missionaries who saw the stunning flora as a physical manifestation of the crucifixion of Christ. The flower, and its various stigmas, ornamental filaments and beautiful petals, was used to teach the story of Christ to the indigenous people. The flowering vine is currently cultivated throughout the US and Europe. You can enjoy Passionflower in your garden, and attract beautiful North American pollinators of all kinds.
Passionflower was utilized by Native American tribes* as an herbal tea as well as a natural poultice. Our Passionflower tea can be utilized for relaxation, and is said to have natural calming properties. Passionflower has a savory, broth-like flavor and is often enjoyed at bed time. The plant is naturally high in antioxidants, methylated phenols and flavonoids making it a delicious and zen choice to add to your tea collection.

"I have been a customer of Fresh Roasted Coffee for over a year. In that time I have placed 11 orders and have never been disappointed. I recently got interested in the health benefits of teas and botanicals and am I ever glad I did. Between the Passion Flower, Lemon Balm, and Lavender Chamomile Botanical Teas I have been sleeping like a baby. The Hibiscus Tisane has had such a significant effect lowering my blood pressure I had to discontinue my regular medication! I attached two videos showing my tea preparation method."

Calming and pleasant
"I usually prefer to drink tea with multiple ingredients (white açai is a fave) but decided to try this one as a bedtime tea. I am very pleased with it. I alternate it with chamomile and lemon grass."
