A great shot of espresso!

"I drink a LOT of decaf, to the extent that I buy it green and roast it myself. I lean toward light and light medium roasts for decaf so I can make espresso with it. When I do roast decaf beans (using a fluid bed roaster, like the Fresh Roast SR800), I use a technique called "temperature creep" where I start the roast at a very low temp, then gradually increase the heat (either by reducing the fan speed or upping the thermostat). I wait until the temp stalls before kicking it up a notch and do this until I just hit first crack, then kill the heat. Depending on the phase of the moon or the alignment of the planets, the change in post-roast bean density will fall into the category of light to light medium (10-15%). I can make a decaf espresso indistinguishable from it's caffeinated cousin."

"Love this coffee - very full flavored when roasted dark. I usually blend 25 grams of this with 10 grams of the India Monsoon Malabar (also roasted dark) for my 3-cup Chemex (I use 420 grams of water). Makes an excellent cup of coffee!!"

Not bad for decaf!

"Gets some good flavor and richness. After an 8 month hiatus from an espresso machine, we got a Solis Perfetta Pro, and it's been great with regular beans. We've been enjoying espresso so much again that we wanted to start doing decafs in the evening after dinner for additional enjoyment. This is obviously not as great as my regular espresso roast (Colombia Tolima FTO) but has definitely been serviceable especially with a very fresh roast."
